Aleksandr Vladimirovich Shchipkov (Russian: Александр Владимирович Щипков) (born 3 August 1957, Leningrad, USSR) – Russian political scientist, sociologist of religion, specialist in church-state relationships, doctor of political science, professor of the Religion Philosophy and Religious Studies department at the Philosophy faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, editor-in-chief of internet magazine "RELIGARE.RU". Advisor to the Chairman of the Russian State Duma; member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the First Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department of the Moscow Patriarchate for relations with Society and the Media.
